Hey guys, Im having trouble getting my friends 95 gsx running right after an engine swap. His car had the CAS under the cam gear, but the motor he bought had the 2gb style CAS. So what we did was cut a 2gb CAS wire set off of a car in the junkyard and splice it off of the original CAS wires. Correct me if Im wrong but a buddy of mine told me that if you do that then you have to invert the plug wires (3214) So anyway, we got everything together and went to start it and come to find out were only firing on cylinders 2 and 3. I used the ol while the cars running pull the plug wire off the plug and see if the motor runs any different trick. And I found when I pull 1 and 4 plugs nothing changes and I dont even hear the plugs arch against the head when pulling them out like I do with the other 2 cylinders. Ive read up on how it could be bad coil packs or power transistor. Tried both new items and still no dice. Anyone have any other ideas on what to check? Thanks in advance..

Just a little update. We went and tried to swap in my CAS out of my spyder to see if itd make a difference and nope! So then we decided to try the ECU out of my gsx although his didnt show any signs of being messed up. But we tried anyway and still no difference. Then we checked the wiring to the CAS and one wire wasnt connected very well, fixed that. Annnnd still no dice. Im going to try testing the transistor even though weve tried 2 different ones with the same result. I dont know where to go if this doesnt work. Im almost temped to do a cam swap and put the old cam with the older style CAS on it, but I dont want to go through all the timing shit again. ha ;) Any other advice?
