Can I wire a CAS and CPS from the same power and ground?

Quick run down of what I'm doing. I am running a 95-96 CAS and CPS and need to wire it in a 97-99 harness. The 95-96 harness gives power and ground to both CAS and CPS independently I believe. So, can I power both of them from the same source in the 98 harness? The CPS in the 98 harness has a power, ground, and signal wire and there is only a single wire for the CAS signal. I figure I could power both the CAS and CPS from the same ECU driven power source. Will doing it this way work at all or will there not be enough voltage to handle it?

I actually just measured resistance between the 2 power wires for the cas and cps on a 95 and there was none.... Meaning they are tapped from the same source at their origin. I actually wired in a 1g cas so I pulled back the wires in the harness to the other side of the VC, and I was expecting to find a T in the wire where it split off into 2, but nope it was run all the way back to the fire wall with individual wires so it must split by the fuse box somewhere. I would love to say your safe to do it for the fact of the same power, but for amperage draw it might be a little much for the single wire. I don't get to technical when it comes to the specifics so I imagine someone else has tried and has more info.
