can I put a small air filter on my valve cover?

So I was wondering if I could disconnect the hose coming from my cool air intake pipe into my valve cover and plug the intake pipe and put a small intake filter in the hole in the valve cover? (Image) - disconnect one and two, and put a small filter in two.

You could always put a In Line Fuel Filter in there, If say your worried about oil blowing into your intake would work about like a catch can except eventually you would have to replace it.
Install a catch can for your DSM (2G)
check that out

I've done that... serves it's purpose. Since you're n/a, it don't really matter. Done that to lots of cars with no oil squirting out!

Either one of those two ideas, or install a catch can. It's been proven that a catch can help performance in n/a and f/i applications.

ok so basically I would just put the fuel filter betwean the valve cover nipple, and my intake pipe on my n/a right?
