i am putting a new cylinder head on my 99 gsx. And i am just waiting on my new head to arrive and i have to use my cams, rockers, and lifters off my old head, and i have noticed my cams are starting to look really dry and a little surface rust. should i take them off and soak them until my new head arrives or just leave them be.

Take some emory cloth and dip it in oil. Use that to take off the rust. Once your done lightly coat the cams with oil or wd40 and then wrap them with seran wrap to prevent future rust.
