calliper pin broke off inside the caliper bracket..not sure which to purchase..

I replaced my rear pads and rotors today on my 96 talon awd and they were rusted to hell! When I loosened one of the caliper slider pins the pin just broke off inside the caliper bracket. I'm looking for a driver's side rear caliper bracket so I can simply just get new pins and swap the bracket instead of trying to dig the rest of the pin out of that rusty mess. I found one on Autozone's website but it doesn't specify whether it's for an AWD or FWD Talon. Would the part be different between the two?

Also, is it the same bracket for a Eclipse GSX. Wasn't sure if the brakes were different since my Talon doesn't have ABS and I believe the Eclipse's do in some cases?

rear caliper brackets are the same for all 2G DSMs except for the Early 95 AWDs with rear vented discs

ok well that makes the search much easier...and i'm assuming the driver/passenger side will be the same as well? Seems to be that way when I search for them...

anyone know where I can get a used OEM one or an aftermarket one that's not horrible and will actually fit right? I don't want to spend a lot on this car because it's just a winter DD at this point and I'm going to get rid of it in a year or two..

that would be awesome. Let me know. I'm afraid to order one off of ebay/online because I don't want to end up receiving the wrong one. There are so many different variations. Most of the websites seem to elude to the fact that the FWD and AWD ones are different so who knows. It would just be easier to get one that I KNOW fits and get this damn thing done. haha.

Well FWD and AWD have the same rear calipers so they are the same part, i might have the complete rear caliper if your interested in the whole thing

Take it to a shop, have them heat it up, and pull it out. Happened to me also.

I don't really need the whole caliper. Mine seemed fine but if you don't want to sell just the caliper bracket alone I understand.

Well it would come with the pins and you need at least one right. but let me make sure i have it, I thought I saw a pair at the bottom of my parts box the other day

I had the same problem before on one of my cars. I actually had two broken bolts, one in the front bracket and one in the rear. I just drilled a hole in the back side of the bracket and used a large roll pin bunch and punched the bolt out. Cleaned up the inside of the bracket with some scotch bright and WD40 and just bought a new bolt from a parts store. They actually come in pairs and it cost me like $5 dollars.

I have tig welder so I just welded the hole that I drilled on the back side of bracket. If you don't have access to a welder you can also use some kind of rubber plug or some rtv silicon and just let it dry overnight before you put it together.

yeah I just figured by the time I bought all the tools to do something like that and learned how to do it, I'd spend more money than just buying a used (or even new) caliper bracket. I have no idea how to weld and I have very limited experience messing around with metal work.
