Ok I was doing the rear pads on my 90 TSi AWD and I grabbed my dads old torque wrench (big mistake) and used it on my rear guide pin. The bolt broke just out of the plate that holds the caliper. I'm trying to figure out where I can get a new pin, if I can pick it up at a hardware store what thread and pitch, or if it's dealer only? How hard is it going to be to drill the other half out of the caliper bracket?

Drill a hole down the middle of it and use an extractor. I might have an extra caliper pin laying around if you need one.
Which one is it? It will be coming out of a 92...

It's the lower bolt you remove so you can swing the caliper upwards to get access to the pads. It goes through the rubber boot and the metal pin. 12mm if my memory is correct. I think 92 is the same??

44224, if you send me one I can hit you up with something on Paypal + whatever shipping is. Thanks man!

If you have an auto parts store around where you live that sells carlson hardware the part number is 14088. It should run around $5 for a set.

Yeah this happened to me too. I tried getting it out and had no luck so I went and got a new bracket, which wasn't too expensive.
Make sure to use some sort of lube or antisieze on not only the threads but the guide too.

Thanks! I got the guide pin and I'm going to attempt pulling the other half out. I figure if I totally mess it up I would have to buy another bracket anyways. If I get it out I will let you know how.

Ok, I got a file and filed the old bolt flat. I center punched it and drilled the appropriate size hole and used a number 2 extractor and the bolt came right out, super easy. Now the new problem... I went to depress my brake pedal to engage the piston with the caliper and my brake line broke. Its the line coming from the hard line before that bracket. Any idea on where I can get aftermarket lines for the Talon?
