This is my first thread on here so I will try to be as non-noobish as possible. This will be my second vehicle purchase and I am just not familiar with DSM and what I should be paying. I'm new to turners and DSM's in particular. I've gone through a lot of threads and I have a good idea of what to look for when I actually go test drive the car and give it a once over. I feel like I can trust you guys to give me sound advice about this car in particular. It seems pretty clean and when I talked to the guy he sounded very sincere about taking care of the car, but second and third opinions are great to have. If you think I should walk away let me know.

I'm looking at a 1995 GST with about 125000 miles. He is asking $4800 and I actually think that is a bit much for the car but maybe I'm wrong. Here are some of the goodies...

-OBX headers
-Injen intake system
-Always used HKS air filters
-DC sports 3in catless exhaust and sounds beautiful
-4in Punishment intecooler
-newer T25 turbo
-GReddy bov
-Boost controller
-pillar A/F gauge and boost gauge
-HKS turbo timer
-Tein lowering springs
-98 GSX body conversion
-NGK wires and plugs
-Sliding up sunroof
-Aftermarket SONY stereo
-Low Rise wing

He says the only con is that it could use new tires on the rear.

Agreed, if it were a gsx it might be worth that. I wouldn't touch it for anywhere near $4800.

Does he have any maintenance records? Ive seen similar cars in this condition go for much less with timing belt changed, new timing components, new clutch, etc etc.

I would ask more about the maintenance (oil changes, transmission, clutch, pads, anything you can think of) or look for another option.

The A/F gauge is probably useless, but he may have installed a WBO2 sensor.

3500 ...is what that's worth really...

If he won't take 3500 trust he'll eventually lower the price and sell it below what he asked for from the start.

Its clean and ready for a biger turbo I would get a comp test and offer 3800 or so.....
dont worry about it not being a gsx....gst can be fun and I smoke gsx'sll the time at the track.....bwbhahhaha

I payed 4k for my spotless spyder with fmic and evo 16g and other goodies.. This seems overpriced. Talk him down.

Way too much, unless it has forged internals and a straight / clean body . otherwise no more than 3500. good luck
