buying a dsm need help?

my friend is about to buy a dsm but dont know whats been done to it so i was wondering if someone can do a search on this car the vin # is 4a3ak54f9ve132711.

thanks for the help....i would help him look at the car but im new to dsm too and still learning about dsm.

i can tell you what parts of the VIN mean! we worked on that today in calss

4 - united states
A - mitsubishi
3 - passenger car
A - dual air bags
K - im guessing gs-t cuz L - GSX
5 - premium (GS-T and GSX)
4 - 3 door hatchback
F - 4g63 2.0L DOHC Turbocharged
9 - Check digit
V - year 1997
E- Plant - bloomington, IL
and the rest are "production sequence number"

well i hope i learned something today! was i close?
so from my info i had from the 2g eclipse and 1g talon i did i come up with its a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse gst with dual airbags and was made in bloomington, IL USA

yea you it is a 97 eclipse gst...my friends want to know its record of accidents and stuff since we live in california and the car is originally from IL
