My bumper was cracked and kinda smashed for well over a year. I went to take off it off today to replace it and OMG! I have never had so much bad luck or been so fustrated. Every bolt that I tried to remove snapped on me except ONE! :banghead: I used alot of PB blaster and heat; didn't do any good. Does anyone know where I can get a Kit replacement for everything, if possible?:hmm:

Ya they all break... It sucks but what ever... If you wanna go through the hassle of pulling ever broken bolt out then have at it or you can get self tapping screws and put them close to the exiting holes and go from there.. There are no kits out there.. you just have to order the right bolt size..

Same thing happened to me too. Every single one broke and I drilled every single one out. Kinda a pain in the butt but if for any reason you have to take the front bumper off it is soo much easier. Do it right, do it once.....

k so that long metal peace on the bottom of the bumper that connects to the plastic bumper support... where do I purchase another one? Mine snapped in half. God this is why i do mechanical work, someone with more patience than me can do cosmetic.

go to any junyard or find one here in the cassifieds or links to stock parts. and to be honest i would do it the right way and drill them out and put new ones in but that also takes patients.... but you stated you lacked for cosmetics. good luck with the rebuild:thumb:

Even though it really sucks, your best solution is to drill out the broken bolts. As far as the retainers, the lower one is almost totally useless. All it does is add weight to the bottom of your bumper. What you want to reassemble with are the upper center retainer with 5 bolts and the two side retainers each with two botls (that attach the bumper to the fender). This is exactly how I've been running for a long time without any problem. I have no significant flex in the bumper once installed plus it makes for really easy future removal for any front end work!!

Ya it was a royal pain in the ass but I drilled out all the snapped bolts, but a bolt through with a nut on the back and tack welded every single nut and then put no-seize on every bolt. I must say that the time and fustration was well worth it. As for the bottom peice im pretty sure that can stay off. That plastic bumper support that connects to the bottom of the bumper is staying off too. I'll be sure to post pics:thumb:

Wish I would've done mine that way. Maybe next time. Half my bolts snapped, and I took the torch and an ez-out to them. Broke the ez-out.:banghead: A grinder seems to work decently though. I used jb weld, a drill, and a tap/die set for the rest. Got lucky and found the upper brackets for the bumper in a junk yard.
