building head...how built though..?

2.0 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 4G63 DOHC CYLINDER HEAD GEN 1 | eBay

Pulled the trigger on that today, as well as a set of topline 3g lifters and BC springs/retainers.
I'm waiting till it shows to see about the guides, and valves. For now I think I'll be using the OEM valves, I'm not going too crazy just yet.
I'll probably be using the rockers off of my old head, while i look for a set of evo rockers.
I'm still deciding on cams, but I'm leaning towards fp2's
MAP H11 head studs are coming next week.

My engine mods are as follows;
255 wally, 850 FIC's, dsmlinkv3, fp68hta, fp race manifold, tubular o2 housing, 3" exhaust and test pipe, Dejon intake, Punishment FMIC.

My questions are;
Will porting and polishing be worth the money and down time at this point in my build, and show some real gains, or should i wait for the next stage of craziness?

Will fp2's be worth the money/performance gain ratio, or should I go for 2x's or fp3's? ( my goal is a street monster, heavy on the midrange, with decent topend).

Are evo rockers worth the price, or is it just for my peace of mind?

Look for a stock head then have it resufaced if needed. Alot of HP has been made on a stock head. A few little things like deburring the intake ports, porting the exhaust ports, and polishing the combustion chambers will give a noticeable gain. Stock they came with a 3 angle valve job but if you feel like spends a little extra and get a 5 angle you can squeeze out a little extra HP.

FP2's(Comp200's), HKS 272's, Kelford 264's, or GSC1's will be good for your setup just depends on what you want to spend. The EVO rockers are stronger and lighter then ours. Not a make it or break it upgrade but nice if you find a deal.
