hi i'am building a fully built 3g63t for my 95 gsx with wiseco 9.0.1 hd pistons and eagle h-beam rods and eagle forged crank with all the good stuff and built head.. now i have a ZEX wet shot kit with a 55hp shot and i plane on running around between 25-30psi now this is where i would like to be put in the right direction or the right answers.. now my power expectancy is between 400-500awhp now if i have to run less boost to be able run run the 55hp shot then so be it or is it not worth it to use the shot? i bought the kit used for $100 so its not a b ig loss and can sell it to another person. all the advice is appreciated and please no bashing.

personally i am not a fan of noz {LOL} because it contaminates the oil and leads to bearing failer but if you have the motor to handle it i don't see any problem with running it.

Even though...

OP - Since you are asking these questions, my gut tells me you should just get the motor built and running smoothly, and spend some time learning how to tune on straight boost. You can always go with the nitrous if you want once you get some experience under your belt.

I have to agree... Farting around with nitrous is a great way to blow the head off and set stuff on fire if you are just guessing at it. I am not exempt though. I stuck a borrowed Sneaky Pete on my car with a 50 shot nozzle. It is a lot more violent than I expected... Especially under boost. N/A motors with nitrous do not respond the same way at all... It's basically throwing a pipe bomb into the chamber under boost. I am lucky I didn't break anything. Get your turbo set up right first. You may not even want to use nitrous once you have that done. It's easy enough to break things without adding NO2 when you have a 400+ hp turbo.

Plus, I saw this movie and it showed how nitrous can make the floor fall off the car, even if you use diamond-plate. That can't be good, especially on a nine-speed.

^ this made me LOL!
To the O.P. good luck with your build.

You forgot to warn him not to blow the welds on the intake! Danger to manifold!!!!

You technically won't need the nos unless you have a very big turbo, then the nos would help spool up the turbo faster but if not then boost and a great tune is all you need. Good luck with the build :)

well its a big ole gt35 with 70 trim and i have wiseco 9.0.1 hd pistons and the whole works.. and its being professionally tuned

if you want longevity out of your motor with all the money your putting into it i would wait on the nos down the road if you deal with turbo lag but if your tune is good you shouldnt have a bunch of lag. 25-30psi is way good so you will be pretty stoked i would imagine.

thanks!! ya maybe i will wait on the nitrous.. there are dsm guys around here that have built motors with talons eclipse's and evo's and some have 2.3 and 2.4 strokers and all say this motor will be a beast and i'am woundering if i will be able to go up to 35psi maybe.. ???

Not double-clutching like ya should ROFL
Ahahha

LOL... well this aint no fast and the furious.. i have a motec systems exhaust!! really that doesnt exist

You don't really need it on a boosted car unless you suffer from lag. Nitrous is awesome though. If the car is tuned right you won't have any issues with it ever. I know guys that run 2 and 3 stage 250 shots for years with no problems. Its all in the tune. Also, go with a dry kit if you do. It's the safest way to go. Wet kits like to puddle in the intake mani and cause fires.

Nitrous is great for eliminating turbo lag. I wouldn't worry about hurting parts with a small shot like that as long as it is tuned correctly.

I dont know man you might top out at a buck forty witout the juice and whatever you do dont spray to soon man.... it happens all the time. Id personally start out small if u were gunna spray it

I have driven a 94 with a GT35r on it. I noticed the extra lag, but it wasn't horrendous once you were past the initial wind up. It seemed to start coming on real strong around 3800. I could definently see using it down low on something like that. That turbo already hits pretty damn hard, but make it do that lower in the RPM band, and you'd be hauling ass off the line. Just don't dump it in peak boost without tuning for it, like I did. **pingpingBANGBANGBANG!** "Turn it off, dumbass!!" ROFL
