I recently bought a very clean 1990 tsi awd. The owner before me took really good care in what he was doing and I was kind of thinking of going a different way. So far he has done a lot, exhaust mani, intake, battery relocation, dsm link v3, stripped the interior and a slow boy racing intake manifold that is too big for what I am wanting. As of right now I want a fun car that is a good dd but can also perform very reliably. I plan on removing the intake manifold and replacing the stock one. I'm in need of a fmic, injectors and a couple other things and eventually a 20g. I've been looking at brands and other things on the forums but I want to build a reliable car at the same time not break the bank.. and recommendations would be awesome.

this and why not leave the intake manifold i run a jmf race on my car did i need it no not by any means but its there i like how it looks i know they are proven to make power and you can always grow into it

Yes the stock is great for most builds, other things are really nice too.

just saying you already have a hopup part why not try it out first and see your results and if its not what you want then change it personally i would try it before saying its to much for what your doing

Yeah I'm following the path, just looking more to preferred or proven brands that aren't necessarily the most expensive. And I'm honestly selling it since it's not needed and putting it into other parts for the car. My friend who got me into dsms has a pretty impressive build and I was under the understanding that it won't help me enough to make it worth keeping because it's the cause of boost leaks because I have to use an adapter for the stock throttle body.
