6 bolt build suggestions

Looking into building my first 4g63 motor and have a good idea what id like to do but not sure if it will work or if theres nething i should no before perchasing anything. I plan to stay with stock displacment for now. I want to use the oem crank , eagle h beam rods , and evo 8 pistons. I cant seem to find anyone whos used the evo 8 pistons in there build and just want to know if it will work or if theres a better alternative that doesnt break the bank. Thanks.

IIRC the EVO VIII pistons are a press fit, and not a full floating. So unless you modify the EVO pistons to full floating they will not work on the Hbeam rods.

You need to decide on the end use of the car, along with a budget for the build, and a goal you want for the engine, then you will get more helpful info.

Im shootin for a 500hp street car. What would u recomend for a piston and rod set up.

eagle rods and je/wiseco pistons. youre already springing for the rods, get the pistons with it for a few bux more and have peace of mind.

what power method (turbo) are you going with?

Right now i got a 20g but im gonna go with either fp green or a full garret

says 16g in your profile, but a 20g (depending on model) can get you almost too or just at 500hp with the right mods.

youve got some pretty good parts right now, build a solid reliable long block and work your way up to your power level. originally i had plans for a 550 hp DD, now ive scaled considerably back to get whats right for me.

gl, and id stick with the 20g till you max it out. then step up after seeing where youre at.

Yeah i havnt put the 20g on yet ive got a fp manafold n tial 38mm wastegate setup ready to go along with fpr n walboro 255 pump. I just havnt gotten round to puttin em on yet. Im just plannin ahead cus ive got 145k on the stock motor n trans. N i know ill have a problem with one or the other at sum point soon. But thanks for the advice man i appreciate it
