I got a '91 GSX from my brother-in law a year ago for five bucks. He thought it had a broken timing belt. It turns out that the transmission had come loose from the block and the flywheel was grinding on the transfer case. Great news for me. The bad news is that the bolt hole at the front engine mount has cracked and the bolt hole right next to it for the tranny is cracked also. I have the parts that cracked off but I have heard that cast iron cannot be welded. Has anyone ever seen this before? Any possible solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
