Been waiting for an update on this. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet looking pipes. What are you doing with that 4bolt o2 housing? Let me know if you are going to sell it. I may need it.

:thumb: Know whatcha mean. I read your story on that turbo ,I hope it(turbo) all works out ok with no more issues! Anxious to see the beast tuned and dynoed:) Tranny is done hope to get it next week, and I still need other parts I mentioned before ,however I'll still get to see how your car does which will pretty much be my marker. I'll be content with low 500's at the wheel though,I'll leave the pioneering to you on the 700hp mission:D I'm scurred!LOL

PS Yep I have some serious fabbing that needs to be done as well, dual wastegates, downpipe, muffler and ultimately tuning and towing this thing from Southern NJ to Central Connecticut for tuning.

Central CT? who is doing the tuning? I live in central ct LOL.

Its yours if yoy want it for lowlow!

Turbo looks good! I hope it stays alive this time and produces good results! I've been tempted to use Comp, since they are only 7 miles from where I live, but your experiences have me second-guessing their quality. Your experiences with their customer service is reassuring though, that's for sure! But, having to pull a turbo to have it repaired every month or so, isn't very appealing.

Good luck with it and keep us posted with the results :thumb:

Well let me go on record and say this the two issues I have had with this turbo has been self inflicted. I really appreciate comp working with me despite my error and hopefully I can get some results that everybody can benefit from stay tuned and I will post what I come up!

okay all the fab work is done and i have been driving the car for a couple days now. I must say I am very please with what I am experiencing. Before any hard testing I must upgrade my fuel set up. I did a few hard pull and logs and I must say that there is way more air being moving through the engine than my current fuel set up can handle, I did one hard pull and the car started to go lean at 29psi with the pte 1200s hitting at a duty cycle of 110% with ecm link logging 65lb air/min I must say I did expect this:p I am also getting spark blow out therefore I will address this also.Upper rmp horsepower is just insane and I can't wait to finish this build. just hang in there guys as I now have to upgrade my fuel set up to handle this massive airflow. The car run very smooth something I didn't expect with these new bc large camshaft. Vacuum a idle is sitting around 11hg which is okay considering I am a big fan of the smaller camshaft:coy: I have a very good gut feeling that the cyclone record will be mine when I hit that dyno!

I will be ordering all necessary fuel items so I can get this last portion upgraded. My goal is and has alway to break the cyclone record:sneaky: its coming thanks fellas for waiting. I think all of you know dsm performance takes its toll on the pockets:p so making the money is necessary:shhh:

Okay here is an update. Before upgrading my fuel I had to address another issue and it was low oil pressure. Because of my work load in the recent months I finally am back home and Had some time this week to work on the car. therefore I gave some attention to this oil pressure issue. I have been reading a lot about the forward facing filter housing and how it has lower oil pressure than the oil filter housing that came on the car. I really needed to address this issue before I damaged my engine. So I parked the car and was going to update the thread when I had it fixed.

So I compared the two housing and measured everthing from piston dept to relief hole size, everything measured the same but here is what I found out after several days of sleepless nights http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cyl...617-forward-facing-filter-important-info.html

I plugged the hole and "Bam" problem solved:D. I would have switch back to the oringinal 1990 housing but my whole custom exhaust was centered around the forward facing filter housing:aha: so I had to find the culprit and how to fix the issue. Okay now I am getting back to the fuel upgrade so I can get this thing finished! stay tuned.

How low was your oil pressure?

Well you look at my post above you will see in that oil pressure guage hand was way below the threshold which drew concern, by the hand I knew that the oil pressure was low.

Okay there will be only one more update to this thread and it will be the results.... stay tuned just waiting on the gear cluster to return from tre for I now have all the necessary fuel mods:D
