2G Broke 100A fuse?

sooo... i tried removing my 100A fuse for the alternator.. and it wouldn't come out so i pulled harder and apparently broke it in half.

do these fuses seriously bolt in?? and where the heck do you find replacements?

Oooooo...yes they bolt in. And honestly you should be able to find a replacement at the parts store. I believe it is actually called a fusible link. Be sure to get all of the old pieces out before you put a new one in, or you will have some vicious gremlins because of it. Previous owner of my car shoved a new one in on top of a broken leg piece of my car, and the bolts were seriously welded to the fuse box. Thank God for parts cars.

Yeah as stated there are 2 bolts to the left and right of the fuse holding it down (I believe anywhere between 6-10mm). Just get matching wrenches/sockets for those sides and you should be good. Auto zone, pep boys etc should have what you need.

yeah the fuse is $2-3 bucks at the store or can be a pocket find at the junk yard.

I removed the viewing cover and soldered the fusable link to get me going.
The fuses are 8 dollars up here so I vouch for the junk yards.
