Most 2g's don't do much for me, but that red beast is looking good. Sounds great to.. Keep it clean :dsm: :talon: :laser:
:rocks:

That's the first time anyone called my car a beast. ROFL Car is idling like crap now, but I hope to work those kinks out over time. And no I don't mean rough idle, I mean trying to stall without gas at times.

It aint mine, the owner can chime in though... It is a good looking car!
Sorry about your door handle bro...

I think you got the kung-fu grip or something. LOL Don't worry about it, it was bound to go anytime apparently. I'm heading to Mits monday to get a new one. Could be worse. Could have been my driver's side.

THANKS for the several hours help today! :thumb:

Finally put my 280s in last night. Now im just waiting on my sbr mani so i can put the new scm6152sp on this toilet. Should have it running monday, ill try and get an idle clip also

I installed some 272's in someone elses car today and figured I would post the sound clip up... the BC 272's are rough also!
I came on this morning and was going to ask if anyone had or could take a good vid with the 272's in, and you posted this. Thanks, its exactly what i was looking for. Im pretty much sold on a set of 272's, just gotta find someone who has them in stock and for good price. Still mad at myself for not coming up with the money and buying them when they were under $300, but what can you do.
Still like to see PSIcho post up a vid of his 272's just to hear another car with them running.

Frank, my car's been idling MUCH better now ever since the ecu reset. I set dsmlink to idle at 900. Seems good there. Torque was always great on my auto so I hardly notice anything lost on the bottom end. I think 272s are especially well suited for built automatics.

finally got the thing running today.... 280s

Yeah let us know how it sounds with a muffler. GST WTF :thumb: I just bought another GST, I want to see just hoe fast I can make it.

Ok so all you guys with the Bigger 280 cams I know you arent making much for vacuum. With that said how are your brakes ? Less vac the less you have for brakes. What are you doing for this now, raising your idle to compensate ?

I want to know this becasue im looking at the 280's also, but if i need to add a vacuum can and more hoses im not goign to go that route. The 272's should do me fine.

has anyone not made any WOT runs with these guys yet? I make you guys a killer sweet ass thread and you havent beaten on them yet? :)

I posted that I am seeing the same airflow at 21 psi that I was on 25 psi with my web cams... I am maxing out my 50 trim so I cant really expect gains in airflow, just the same airflow with lower boost. In regards to the vacuum and the brakes... I have not noticed it as a problem, the brakes seem to work just fine. I even did some 'while idling' stops when I first installed the 280's to test the brakes, no ill effect. I posted a log on DSMLink forums:thumb:

I just installed a AEM 5 bar map sensor so I will be able to get exact measurements of the vacuum and at what RPM, it is hard to be precise with a gauge. The car is down untill next weekend when it gets its new T3 Manifold and SC61:). I will let you know on exact vacuum at that point, but by eyballing it it is about 8 in hg at 1000

no problem with the brakes here either. im awaiting a stiffer wg spring before i can abuse the 280s witht he new 6152. if anything, the car feels better out of boost than it did with the fp2s. i dont notice a loss of power at all down low.

if you just bought 272s, sell them for more than what the 280s cost!!! thats what i did

No I have not bought any cams yet, I did sell my Comp 200's though. The vacuum with them were great and they made great power. I just love the sound of lopy cams, so thats why im interested in these.

If you are not having any problems with stoping at idle with the 280's thats excellent! Looks like thats what im going to be getting. Thanks for the feedback.

I wanted to throw this in here, I just recived my 4th set of BC 280's. I bought them from Martin at VIP Garage. Dont go thinking that he has any, because I do not know that to be true. He gave top notch service and bent over backwards to find me another set. Thanks!

When do the cams really start making good power? I know the FP2x's hit hard at 4800
