Breaking up under boost over 15psi

So this was an issue I had a few weeks back and I was given suggestions such as checking for a boost leak, etc... All of that came up clear and the problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the coil pack and that resolved the issue. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue and can't figure it out but don't overlook your ignition system when having issues under boost.

Could you explain more as to what "breaking up" is. does it stutter? just doesnt feel like its giving its all? fuel cuts? anything?

It felt like it may have been fuel cut when I first noticed it, it would hit around 12 - 15psi and start misfiring and feeling like it had no power at that point but will still slowly rise through the RPMs while still missing. You could hear the blow off open when it would happen and it made me originally think it was a vacuum or boost leak issue.

you will know fuel cut kinda feels like hitting a wall. what plugs are in the car and what gap? what turbo and mods ?

I would try br7es plugs gapped to .024. And I don't think you have enough injector to raise your boost too much. 650's are kinda small for a 20g.

2x ^ I had the same probelm running cruddy plugs, as soon as i switched to the br7es ngk's issue has yet to visit again.

Check spark plug gap. Use NGK bpr7es. If everything good, check coils, resistance etc...

Running 7's gapped to .028, the issue was fixed when I replaced the coil pack and hasn't shown up since. This was just a post letting people know to not overlook the ignition system if they are having breaking up under boost and can't pin down what's causing it.
