car breaking up over 5500 roms ?? HELP !!!

hey guys im having a little trouble with my car, when i go Wot it will sometimes break up over around 5500 rpms, but then when i go about 65% throttle it wont break up, im not sure what the problem is, i have a 2g stock motor, with a small 16, walpro 190, 550 injectors, and i am reading around a 10.9 -11.2 afr, as well as i am running 18psi, i cant figure out what the problem is PLEASE HELP !!!

Sounds like spark plug gap isn't tight enough! Try gaping to .024, and see what that does for you!

you live in Bristol, PA? thats really not far. i'm at the 309 exit off the pa turnpike. about 20-25 mins. have you solved your problem? do you have aim/msn/skype? i could always use another dsm tuner. since i recenetly got in the game. okay back to your problem. yes check spark plugs, their gap, wires, boost leaks, fuel filter, exhaust maybe clogged, low compression, and timing. hope that list keeps you busy till you find your problem.

im going to replace the plugs and wires, i hope thats my problem, i was reading on here that it also could b e a bad ecu or restricted exhaust??? i have a 2.5 inch down pipe and 3inch from downpipe back so i doubt the exhaust is the problem

What plugs are you running, also? You could try gapping them down and a colder plug if your still on stock plugs.

x2 on the cold plugs. check your gaps. if you are running a cat, it may have broken apart or turned sideways but i don't think that is your problem. don't exclude it as a possibility though. i'm sure there is somewhere on here that tells you what plug to run as "the best"

yup changed the plugs and gapped them to about ,028-.030 and its runs good for now at least
