Just got back from the track. I'm pretty satisfied with my runs but I know I can do better. I just wanted to know if it was possible to break into 13s with better driving. Well, here is what I did on the run.

R/T : .266
60' : 2.557
E.T. : 14.310
MPH : 101.367

My mod list is on my profile. :) Thanks.

Wow you still have the stock clutch? Did i read that correctly? Get a 2100 with a flywheel and you'll be good to go. If you have extra cash throw in a an lsd too. I got the bm lsd insert and it made a world of difference. Quafie lsd is actually the better way to go b/c clutch type differentials are amazing. When i got clutch, flywheel, and lsd on my tsi it was a completely different car. With what i have right no i'm willing to be i can pull of the same 1/4 time as you if not better. If you got lsd and learned to launch it you'd be in mid to low 13's no problem.

Its all in the 60ft.
I have Falken Azenis ST115

one run was 14.6@96 that was with a 2.5 60ft
my other run was 14.08@98. that was with a 2.3 60ft

I just got some Azenis Sports shootin for some 2.1-2.2s and see how that goes :)

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm looking into this stuff and will order it as soon as I get the funds. :) I appreciate it.

Sinister, Sounds good. I'll shoot you an e-mail.

Holy crap that 60' is horrible! thirteens is definitly possible with your car. My friends fwd honda with an lsd nitrous and slicks does like a 1.8 60 foot. I have yet to do one of those in my car. I can't believe it. It's possible man practice helps but I think it would be best to try out some different tires. :thumb:

I don't think that 60' time with the Honda (I'm guessing Civic or CRX) is a good comparison. First of all, slicks and an LSD make a huge difference. Second of all, those cars are much lighter; therefore, the Honda will have a lot less intertia than a turbo DSM with an iron block. This means it is faster right off the line. Third, because of the reduced weight, there is much less weight transfer to the rear of the car when launching the Honda.

If you get your 60' times down to at least 2.2 you will probably get into the 13's. work on your launch because that is the biggest part. I find that shifting into 2nd gear early works well :thumb:

Shifting early into 2nd, eh? I usually shift into 2nd near redline. How about you?
