bov release while on gas?!

I was going up a hil in 4th gear, about 30mph. When all of a sudden my bov releases,
but my foot was still on the throttle! Now granted i do have bouch wires, and the car did stutter when this happened ,but is that the cause? the bov is a turbonetic raptor.

there was a change in the pressure in your intake manifold, most likely vacuum, causing your BOV to vent. In order for your BOV to work effectively, it has to open at the very time that it receives a vacuum signal, such as letting of the gas, etc...

You might wanna check your spark plugs, wires, and make sure that you've done some routine maintenance lately, as that stutter and BOV vent doesn't just happen for fun....something has to cause it.

Droopy from what i understand, is saying that the stutter caused the bov to release, not vice versa. Basically, if your having some sort of ignition trouble due to bad wires or plugs, then your car could stutter which would cause the turbo to not be creating positive manifold pressure, in turn creating vacuum which causes your bov to open, much like when you let off the gas.
