OK I recall reading up on a thread a while back that there is a certain way to drive in boost to get good gas mileage, I was thinking if you are accelerating and you stay at really low boost or just 0 no vacuum no boost wouldnt your gas mileage benefit from that? If anyone knows what article im talking about feel free and dig it up for me.
Also werent the old like 85 colt turbo meant to get good gas mileage? And I am asking this because why would the gs-t and gs eclipse (1st gen) have the same exact EPA gas mileage ratings.

I don't know if this helps or not, but I accelerate like a grandma 97% of the time simply to achieve good gas mileage and extend the life of my Talon and all of her parts. More specifically, I make sure that I stay in vacuum, around 2-5 inches of it, during this normal driving.

As a result, my gas mileage in the city is anywhere from 22-23MPG and on the freeway it is 26+. Especially with the EVOIII 16G and it's slightly later spoolup, I noticed my gas mileage improve after I installed it.

Hope this helps.

really? I stay in ) most of the time of it being a habbit, I dont know what my gas mileage is because I replaced alot of parts that had to do with it, LOL.

I noticed that in city driving, my mileage with my 14b dropped a considerable amount when compared with my stock T-25. Maybe I've been tromping on the throttle a little more than normal, however. With my T-25 it was almost a waste of my time to hit boost.

my gas mileage dropped off la decent amount after installing my b16g. i try to cruise in vaccumm or as close to as possible. the t-25 was almost impossible to accelerate w/o hitting boost. damn paperweights...

I keep my mileage brutally hammered down to about 20mpg. The trip to Frisco a couple of weeks ago, with a couple of 100-mile freeway stretches and mostly level terrain, I got 23.

I had an 84 200SX Turbo with a mileage gauge on the dash. I could beat it down to an indicated 4mpg uphill to Tahoe, and blank out the gauge (over 100 mpg) on the downhills. It averaged right about 33, then MTBE hit and it dropped immediately to 30.
