Ok, just installed a no name Greddy style BOV on my 1g. I plugged the hole on the intake thats right before the turbo. But now whenever I start the car up, it idles all the way down and shuts off. Am I missing something here? I didn't have an idle issue or any problems before this install

Yes your missing your recurculation tube..You can't just go and do that..Go back to the stock bov..The bov you bought was probably a knockoff ebay bov, and their crap..If you want to not run the recurc tube..Read up first..And if you want a loud ass bov, by a real one..

Next time search, but heres the link that you should have looked for..

I know. It was cheap so I said screw it. I have the vac line hooked up to the IM but as far as recirculation, there isn't a port for that. It is adjustable though.

Either you get a maf-t set up, or you find a way to recirculate that bov back into the intake because that's just your problem. I run one for a while it worked great so after you do that it should run good they are pretty loud when venting just don expect the greddy bov noise, and no they are not crap at least mines wasn't for the price nothing could beat it!

@bud...Dude, half the stuff on these cars is crap. Adding one more piece of crap isn't going to hurt it, hahaha...But yea, I'm going to try adjusting on that nut and see what happens.

Half of the stuff on these cars is crap..How is that proven..You know what fine go ahead and vent your bov..I'm going to stop giving you the right info from now on then.

Everybody else He's not going to listen to us, so why bother..

Follow the link that Bud92gsx gave you, and recurculate it back into the IM/switch it back to the stock one, or just run it like it is, run rich as hell, and keep stalling! (how is everything on these cars crap?)

How do you not understand whats going on? Your messing with the airflow. Your pos egay ricer bov is why your car is running like crap.

Bud is only trying to help you, you cant run the car like that... I really want to hear how everything on these cars is crap?

FYI Bud knows his shit..

Or don't and enjoy your shitty running and stalling car. Convert to run vented or put your stocker back on..

We are all here to help. Take our advise. Most of us have been through this before.

So you come here asking for help, we tell you what's wrong and you ignorantly say that half the things on our cars are crap to begin with.... ignorance is bliss.

If you really want to keep that bov, you can replace the shitty ebay diaphragm in it with a ngr one, but the diaphragm will cost you just as much as you paid that bov for, and recirculate it. There, no more leaky bov and recirculated with the super cool sound everyone likes to hear.

unless your running a map sensor ull need to recirulate the bov then it should be fine

A simple search would've yielded you results telling you exactly what was going on, as it's been one of the most asked questions on this forum by people who don't know much about these cars. It's already been answered in this thread as well. If you vent your blow off valve without running a GM MAF and translator or speed density you are venting air that's already been metered by the MAF which causes you to run rich in between shifts and stall out.
