i just got my 2.25 inch IC upper pipe in.... installed it today and everything works fine but the BOV is positioned at the the bottom of the pipe pointing towards the ground instead of pointing up like it was before..

does anybody know the purpose of this?.... why they put it facing down instead of up?

no i dont think its that because ive checked it out and if it was mounted on the top the hood wood still be able to close just fine... you said your friend has a 1g with a aftermarket pipe but didnt say how that matters to our conversation..... are you saying his is like that too?

You didn't say what type of aftermarket pipes it was, but my Dejon pipe is the same set up you're talking about and it's due to clearance.

I dont see why it would matter what way it is oriented as long as it does the job the way it is supposed to. Kinda like 2 steaks on 2 different plates. It's still a steak! LOL
