Bov not blowing off?

i just got my greddy rs bov on and it is recirculated, i took the fitting off to see what it would sound like vented and drove around the block and came back to my friends house and had the hood popped and he put his hand in front of the bov and he said nothing was coming out when i revved it, what could it be?

you aren't boosting without any load? watch your boost gauge. did you hear sound when you drove around the block?

You might have it to tight. Take the tube off, And start the car. Put your finger in the bov onto the flapper. Tighten the bov down until the flapper is closed all the way. Take it for a drive and test it out. If it releases, And doesn't leak... You're good. If it leaks, Tighten the spring alittle more. If your flapper is all the way closed when you check it with the car turned on, Then loosen it up until it starts to open, And just tighten it down again only until it closes. You do not want it to tight so that you get compressor surge.
