Bouncing Speedometer

My speedometer tends to bounce around more so at low speeds. Going about 10 down the road the speedometer will be bouncing from 0-20. I was thinking the speed sensor, but the problem seems to have a connection with going over bumps too, so I was thinking the gauge itself?

There is only one way to find out.
Take the speedo sensor out and inspect it for damage. mine had the sensor wheel's teeth worn off, you can buy the shaft and wheel from the dealer, instead of the whole sensor.

okay, do you know about how much just the shaft and wheel run for from the dealer?

It is most likely your speedo cable, it old, rusty and may be a little wrinkled... It is like $ 30 for the cable only and then you attach the plastic gear to the new cable....

okay thanks, would the cable come from the dealer too?

Yes the cable would come from the dealer/ but you better get it from JNZ/ and the plastic gear has to be dettached and then attached to the new cable....
