Going to work today I notice my speedometer bouncing around. When I step on the gas it bounces around from 40 to 60 back down to 0. When I let off the gas and cruise, the speedometer goes to the current MPH and slowly drops down like completely normal. Wondering, is it the VSS or has anyone ever experianced this and had to fix it? Ive read the other threads about there Speetometer not working. But mine seems to work on deceleration not acceleration. Anyone have a clue of what it is or had it happen to them? If so, how did you fix it? Any comments appreciated!

my speedo did that last year for a few days then went completely dead, changed the vss thing on the trans and worked perfect again. AND now its doin it again almost 1 year later, nice quality mitsu parts:mad:

Sorry to bring back an old thread but Ive been searching this issue as well. I have an automatic transmission and it looks different than the pictures Defiant posted of the plug. I found a similar plug and pushed it down and it was seated tightly, and I still have the problem so I dont know if it was the correct plug or not. Does anyone know where this plug is located on the automatic trans?
