What do you mean slamming under your elbow? I could check the bushings that hold the drive line down and make sure it's fully secured. See if you can move it by hand.

it feels like its rattleing back and forth,up and down and any other way haha but its raining here right now so when it clears up i will check it out but if it needs bushings where would i buy them and what to ask for? thanks again.

There are these hangers that hold it in place (circular pieces with bushings around them), but i'm thinking they would be a dealer item. Once you get under the car and get a better look at it you should be able to tell more though. I don't think it should have much play though since it's held by your rear diff and your transfer case.

If some one else chimes in, could bad u-joints cause this? I remember driving in my friends jeep when his u-joints were shot and it felt like we were in an earth quake.

You can rebuild the entire drive-shaft (Carrier Bearings, U joints) for less than $200 in one day. You will never have to worry about it again

How would i do that?
Drop your transfer case to pull it out, then take it to a machine shop, and get the new u-joints pressed in. Then swap over the carrier bushings and you're golden pony boy.
