I would check your connections. If I was at a computer I would throw the" noise filter delete" link your way. Do a search for that it helps.

I don't want to be a dick but post this in a tech forum and not in the newbie forum(see rules). I have made this mistake before. but if search results come up nothing I would post it in the electircal forum or whatever.

It could be a bad gauge cluster. Or the tach wire could be getting interference from another source like the alternator. Finding the tach wire at the engine compartment and shielding it with foil wrap could help the issue.

My car was a Missouri car, and its still rocking a 417 motorsports sticker. Do you know this place? Im about to change it to 501 LOL
