What do I need to install it on a 2g fwd? What does the 2g fwd kit consist of? I have the vfaq on how to install it, It's too cold to go and try and install it and see what I might be missing.

Not knowing exactly what you've got, I can't really tell you. You may not need anything. Check the VFAQ for installing the pump, and determine what you'll need from that. I bought a used one that came with the filter on it, and didn't need anything. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/pump-WB-2GFWD.html Once you get it installed you'll find out why they're also known as "Whinebros". Good luck.

I don't have the filter, Could I buy something like that at autozone or should I get the install kit for 20 bux?

Thanks a lot for the help.

if you're careful can't you just reuse the strainer, o-ring, cap, etc.

I bought a used 3000GT VR-4 fuel pump and transferred everything over. i bought a new strainer/filter/whatever for like $10 at the auto parts store, main reason being it was different than the stock 2G (even though I could have made it fit)
