Hi guys I have a 255 Wally and was wondering if I can install it without an install kit (not a rewire kit.. I have that)

I'm thinking of just cutting the pipe and adding high pressure fuel line hose..

Have you guys done this before?

To make things a little clearer.. It is the section where the pump would clip on to the metal pipe that bends 90* and connects to the lines that go to the engine.

My current rusted out unit had the metal cut and it was working fine (as far as I know). I'm planning to do the same with the new sending unit, I just want to make sure I'm not going to cause any issues.

so something like this but with the stock metal line and not the blue an fitting:

I wouldn't cut that pipe. On the end it has that rib which helps keep the fuel line on there. Besides a wally will be a direct fit. Just remove the old pump from the fuel line and put the new one on.
