I just baught a 16g turbo to install on my 98 eclipse GST and i need help installing it without an install kit from someone that has done it before. According to what i have read and understand from VFAQ, i only need a new oil supply line, right???? I can drill new holes on the oil return and use the same one and also just switch around the water lines. I do not want to get the oil supply from any other place than were it already is.
If someone could help me, i would really appreciate it.

You'll also need a new turbine housing to O2 housing gasket, because your stock one has holes in a slightly different shape. You can get it from the Mitsu stealership for around $7. You'll need a new oil return tube gasket, or make your own. They're very cheap, so I recommend springing for the extra $2 or so to get one, plus you can use it as a template to drill the new holes in your oil return tube. A new turbo-to-exhaust manifold gasket is nice, but not absolutely required (I highly recommend it, though). And like the wise poster above mentioned, you'll absolutely need IC piping from somewhere.

The O2 housing gasket isn't different but you will want to replace it since it will probably fall apart when you remove it if it's been in there long enough. The drain line is easy, put the turbo/drain gasket on top and widen the holes so they line up. As for the water lines, switch them. Cut off the eyelets on the stock ones where they bolt to the turbo and mock them up in there. I put mine back in without any bending whatsoever. Just turning them around til I found where they fit the best. As for the J pipe, the cheapest way to do it would be a 1G outlet pipe, then flip your stock LICP upside down and clamp it onto that, you may or may not need a small length of straight pipe though. We did this on a 96 here and we had to use it cause of that resonator, but 97+ don't have it so maybe no pipe for you!! And that's pretty much it, if you can think on your feet then you'll have no problem installing one. My install "kit" cost me 13 dollars and it was all gaskets, when I bought my turbo he gave me the J pipe with it but like I said you can get a 1G outlet to work also. Good luck.

1. The turbo-to-O2 housing gasket IS slightly different.
2. You may or may not need to cut the eyelets off the water lines; they should work fine with just a little bending.
3. When Syndicate says "widen" the holes, just to clarify, you actually file down the inside part of the holes to make them closer together. Technically, the holes themselves are "wider" but they are not as far apart as before.

So if i cut off the eyelets, i wont have to bend the water lines?
Anyone know who sells an oil supply line that hooks up at the same place that the factory one does? or can i just purchase an oil supply line for a 94 eclipse GSX?
The oil return gasket should be bought for a 14b turbo, right?

No, 1G's got their oil feed from the side of the head. So if you want it from the 2G factory location you'll need to buy a SS line from a vendor.

I DID THIS WITH MINE AND IS THE EASIEST WAY!!!

what i did was bought my 16g turbo....

HERE IS WHAT I DID AND IS THE EASIEST WAY!!!!

1. Buy a 1g oil feed line.. ( call shops they have one laying around)
Instead of paying 60 bucks for a ss one that runs to your oil filter it will tap right into the block like on the first gens ( look at how the 1g one is set up) PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU IT DOESNT WORK... THATS BS... I CALLED MITSU.. they said that it works fine, i have 10,000 miles on my 16g and it is still running strong...

2. you will need a 1g oil return line, it will bolt up....

3. coolant lines can be used from the t25, just flip swith them around and flip them....

4. you can buy a 1g J-pipe... and just customize your intercooler QUITE EASY!!! there is an S in the intercoooler piping coming up to the j pipe, just lengthen the middle of the S on the intercooler piping....

I recomend that you port your manifold, exhaust housing on the turbo, and the 02 sensor.... its sucks because i have to pull all of my stuff off to do it right.... ( and its a pain...)

MAKE SURE YOU PLUG The oil feed tube... just cut where it is and have it *tig* welded shut... and it works great...

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SHOOT ME AN AIM at: squeak10686 and i will be able to explain everything to you and help you out as much as i possibly can...

Huh? You can use the 1G oil feed line. You, too, have a bolt in that same location. You just need an "eye" hole bolt or whatever they're called.

That should help.
