I feel i have finally reached the limits of the stock 7 bolt my motor has 165k on it all stock internals accept for last year did studs new gasket valves seals valves ground ect.. But i am pushing low 400whp and want to go farther. I will be doing this build my myself with my buddys help we both have been around dsm's for alot of years and combined have owned over 15 of them. But this will be the first built motor i have done. The goals are 500-600whp it will be done on e85. The car will be a weekend cars aswell as a track car but not a daily driver. Charger size hx40/35r/6262 something around that range and i will be staying 2.0. Now my bottom end is a virgin. For these goals H beams will be enough? Can i reuse my crank as long as everything checks out? I guess im asking for input from other who have built bottom ends before and any advice. I am just thinking stock crank, eagle rods, Weisco pistons, L19 studs, composite gasket, gsc s'2 or some kelfords for cams, springs will depend on what i choose for a cam.

Best thing call a vendor for parts and your goals because lots of us have built engines similar to your goals and beyond. several setups and bottom end parts to choose from, have you looked at some builds here?

I have looked at a few but i also am worried my local machine shop does great work the guy who does the machine work is a personal friend and he knows his stuff but if he is up to the task of my bottom end i don't know... I want to do it right the first time around. Biggest thing is if my crank checks out ok then it should hold what i want it to long as its not reground right?

Many run a reground crank out there but hp I don't know how far with that, or just get a new bottom end and crank and parts. Call around to some shops for some specs and package deals, I deal with a few vendors but sim here does great work.

I will have to check around there are a few shops that are decently close to me both MA performance and AMS in Chicago are not to far away. Just a little nervous first time bottom end build i have done about everything else to a dsm i have even done a AWD swap so i don't know why this makes me nervous LOL.
