Boost Leak Test Results/Questions

So I ran a successful boost leak test today, and found all of my boost leaks. The problem is, I am not sure what parts are leaking, and what parts I need to replace them.

In the picture, I have bubbles in all of the locations that the red arrows are pointing to. Above the valve cover (I believe the location of my injectors?) are pretty much all leaking, what is the part that I need to replace? And can I do that myself at home? Also, my BOV gasket is leaking, it is a 1g mitsu bov, can I get that gasket from an autoparts store?

Another question, I was getting a LOT of bubbles coming from my idle control screw :confused: What do I need to replace in there?

Heres a funny story for you guys though... Since I bought the car a few months ago, everytime I got into boost, it would make a loud WHOOSH sound. My brother owned a GST, and a GSX, and my other brother owns a GST and none of their cars have sounded like this. I thought it was a mixture of my Injen intake/1g BOV and ignored it. Well I took off the intake to do the BLT today, and the system wouldnt even hold 15 PSI due to a leak in my lower inter cooler piping... The coupler was on, and connecting the SMIC, but the clamp was just dangling there... Needless to say, I tightened that sucker down and feel like it brought the car back to life.

It fixed my inconsistent idling issues, and my boost is so much more consistent and smooth, and ive still got the other leaks to fix.

Anyways, can someone please help me with my questions? I plan on hitting up the parts store after class tomorrow and really want to get these leaks fixed so I can check another thing off of my maintenance list to start adding mods :sneaky:

And btw, that is not my motor V Just used that picture as a reference. :)

Well it's good to have hope, but it probably ain't gonna happen. :D

Remember that you have to check the entire intake track every time you fix a leak. Let's say you have a small leak at the very first coupler, and a large leak at an injector seal. You may not even notice the small leak at all, even though it's right after the point you inject the air, because all the pressure is escaping up at the injetor. As soon as you fix that injector seal, air will take the next path of least resistance, which is now back at the coupler.

Just because you checked the couplers and IC piping once, doesn't mean a leak won't spring up on one of them as you fix more and more leaks. So check the whole thing all over again every time you fix a leak.

Gotcha boss, thanks for the info. Will get back started on fixing the current known leaks tomorrow morning and retest and update on everything going.

Glad you got those injector seals replaced. I noticed a difference too when I replaced them. Along with not smelling gas under boost. Did you feel cool when you took the fuel rail out? I sure did the first time LOL. I've been fixing boost leaks for the past 3 months and I am still no where near done LOL.

Hahahah yeah man I really did. Felt like I was in the guts of the car for the first time :p

Anyone know where to find the gasket for the TB to upper IC piping? Local parts stores employ straight retards that dont even know what IC piping is, and seems like theyre searching the wrong keywords even after I tell them exactly what to search...

Dealer said they could order it, but then again I dont even know if theyre ordering the right one because imt alking to them on the phone and its a 45 min drive away -_-

Anyone know the best place to order one? Or have a part number for me? Its a 2g throttle body to upper IC piping gasket.
