i just bought a 16g and was wondering if it is possible to hook up my new boost guage to the line that comes off of the wastgate?

Why not hook it to the f/p solenoid line as recomended by 90% of the dsm world?
You want to know what your pressure is in the intake mani- not right at the turbo.

I use the P port. That's what I suggest. It's a really easy hook up, and you don't have to worry about it like you do when T-ing into the fuel pressure vacuum line. Such things include blowing the line off and your fuel pressure regulator getting a false signal due to the boost leak.

I'm disappointed, where is the MSPaint diagram for this. :D I prefer the FPS line because it's closest to where the hose runs through the firewall. More importantly, using the same example you sited, having it on the fpr line will allow me to monitor the pressure signal to the fpr constantly. :)
