ok heres what happened.... i went to replace the stupid resonator box that i have on my LICP and relized my pipe i had for it didnt fit so i put it back in and tightened all the hose clamps while i was at it and everything was good. also that night i pulled my cat and gutted it out. 200 miles and 4 days later the Check engine light came on, i figured it was because i gutted the cat so i blew it off. the next morning i started the car and relized i was boosting but not going anywhere it felt like i was not even moving but the boost was at 15psi!?!? it wasent bucking or anything it was just going very slowly. It slowly got better as it heated up. this happened everyday for the last two weeks. while 2 nights ago i was driving in 5th gear at like 40mph and floored it and wanted to watch my boost gauge and sounded like somthing poped open and the boost gauge shot to 19 psi then to 10 then i let off, it made kind of a rev limit type noise but it was only the turbo spooling and unspooling or somthing nothing to do with accel or rpm. i thought right away dang i blew one of the ic pipes or somthing so i checked em all and the clamps were all still tight???? i have a turbo xs BOV im running 15psi with no washers in it which may be the first leak problem. 2nd, i checked my turbo xs mbc and the screw was still there and hoses connected good one at compressor outlet and one at WG actuator so i know its not that. today after work it felt like i couldnt move!! i pushed the gas and it boosted wayyyy to easy up to 17psi then back down to 15psi and yet i was going as fast as if i were barely pushing the pedal again. so i thought to myself CMON! again!?!?!? but this time warming the car up did not help at all.... i tried going on the highway and basically had to keep backing off the gas cause the boost would go crazy at half throttle and more it would shoot around from 10-16psi like mad and make yet again a rev limit type spooling noise. which btw when this is hapening its not blowing any smoke out the exhaust at all. the whole way home it would do this in 5th i was testing and it would not accelerate while boosting i had to keep on backing off it SUCKED! got off the highway and 1st gear took it easy, 2nd gear i gave it half throttle as it imediatly shot to 15psi and spooled like mad but i was going no where again so i quickly let off and came on here and dsmtuners to see what may be wrong but after searching for an hour or two i found way to many answers to be sure so.... i have new plugs and wires, just changed the oil and filter sythetic oil and tranny fluid. clutch is not slipping, replaced oil cap that was leaking oil onto my valve cover, valve cover gasket is not leaking anywhere that is noticable. and it ran fine until messing with that stupid resonator box so im thinking i have a boost leak because with my symptoms and that it just all of a sudden decided to kill my acceleration and spool like nuts it must be that... which reminds me i have 120K which is kinda high but all maint was performed so? please someone help me as this is my only car and i cant leave the dang house because its so bad

From what i read in your novel (jk) you heard that popping sound and looked at the clamps did you physically look at the hoses. One might have split. Maybe in a place you can't see feel around for it. :dsm:

I'm having a problem like this... Having crazy high boost readings at half throdel and driving slow mine will hop up to 20psi ON A STOCK FUEL SYSTEM AND T25 TURBO. Check what your boost reads with the car off. I pulled my boost gauge out of the column and disconnected everything to it... low and behold with it chillin in my palm the damn week old $112 gauge was reading 6.5psi. I was like you little. When I get the gauge replaced I will have to look into what he said about the wastegate. I sure hope its not that too.
