2G Boost gauge wiring

I decided to move my Prosport Evo digital boost gauge from the A pillar to under the hvac controls. Now, the gauge only turns on once I turn on the lights. I never had this issue before.

Check to make sure that your plugs in the back of the gauge are in all the way. I had a problem with mine turning on and off by itself due to a bad plug in the back of the gauge. I ended up getting a better brand gauge. But that's probably what happened. The connections are poorly done on those gauges.

So youre using a switched 12v instead of constant?

Thanks Pauleyman, that's probably what I did. Didn't think about it being that simple, but it makes too much sense based on where I moved it. I'll check it out this weekend.
