I know that there is alot of threads and posts out there about boost leaks, and how people dont build boost. But i was wondering if the vaccum/boost lines that run to my boost gauge, and fpr could cause a boost leak if they were somehow not sealed correctly? A lot of the stock vaccum lines are just "slid" onto the places where they belong, and are not clamped in any way. Could this be a reason for my hitting 10 psi and then dropping off to about 4 or 5? I have done a boost leak test, and the only place where i was leaking(according to the bubbles) was my BOV which i fixed. I didnt think to put any soapy water on my vaccum lines though.

Spray the soapy water from the lower intercooler pipe to the side mount intercooler, upper pipe, bov/dump tube, all couplers (especialy the one that goes between the fender and the engine bay) spray all over the throttle body (both sides) and the idle screw. But if you installed the gauge in the rite location (fuel pressure seloniod per VFAQ.com) then it should not be causing the problem. Hell, one time my tee had come loose from here and the car ran fine just didnt get a good reading on my gauge. First off, check the turbo itself. Pull the intake and check for shaft play.
