Has anyone run a -4an stainless steel line for their boost gauge? Are there any disadvantages to doing this? I figure it would be a lot more rigid and last longer than the little plastic hose, also harder to kink and bend. What do you guys think?

IMO I dont think it would be neccesary for vaccum line. Vaccum hose and zip ties have always worked flawlessly for me...but more power to you if you want to go that route.

Not worth it at all. If you want something stonger just get a hose barb put in the back of the gauge and use a normal vacuum line + zip ties like Damills said.
