Sorry for the question, but I've searched all over the site and couldn't find an answer for my problem. My set up is as follows:
1990 Talon Tsi
PET 61 trim w/internal wastegate
Tial BOV
Extreme MBC
3" open exhaust
Dejon FMIC
3" GM MAF and translator

Here is my problem... I just installed my new Tial BOV on my 90 talon, and after the install, I went to test it out. I first noticed that my peak boost jumped up from 19 to 21psi, but it was rock solid. So I then procceded to turn up the boost inorder to hit my current goal of 25psi. Then as I drove it, the peak boost went up to 23psi, but I heard a strange flutter at peak boost. It sounds the same way my stock crushed BOV did at 19psi. I read some more and found some info on adjusting the wastegate arm. After doing that. the flutter is still there. So why does it sound like my brand new Tial BOV is leaking at 23psi?

I'm stumped. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Rich

Is this TIAL adjustable? As in soft to hard like the type s? Sounds like possible compressor surge to me.

Very possible, always consider the worst case scenario to be safe. Also, since 19+ psi is virgin territory, I suggest pressure test to 25 psi before you go boosting again.

it is not adjustable. It is when iam in full bost and full gas

Thanks for the help. I called Slowboy, the place I ordered it from, today and they told me that I need a different spring for it. The BOV they sold me had a spring that was said to hold up to 19psi. So, I ended up buying a new spring that holds up to 30psi. I wish they had mentioned the differnt springs when I bought it... Oh well.
