is there a way to trick your pcm so you can run more boost then allowed by fuel cut? like a diode or a resistor on your map sensor signal wire to the pcm. im running super rich and wanna bump up the boost...

you can do it with an afc but you will need bigger injectors and a way to log wideband is also good to have.fuel cut is what you are experiencing this is due to your ecu seeing to much airflow through your mafs.

Fuel cut is correct. Does it feel like you hit a wall while you're driving? To get past that, you'll need an upgraded fuel system and keep your boost at 15psi or lower until you upgrade. :thumb

Edit: What turbo are you running and is your profile all up to date? With a larger turbo, you are pushing in more air and will hit fuel cut quicker. Depending on size, you may want to keep it lower than 15psi until you have proper support mods for the turbo.

The easy answer is no, not with a diode or resistor.

Why are you running super rich? if you are on stock injectors and turbo as your profile suggests I would strongly suggest a boost leak test.

i just updated my profile with all my mods.... sorry it wasnt updated until now.

i have not hit fuel cut yet, but i know it exists. i have no clue why im running rich. idles around 12.5:1 or slightly richer, and goes 10:1 at wot. did a compression test today and it looked like: 165, 165, 170, 175. it runs good but really rich..... LOL thanks for all your help!!

If you're running rich or hitting fuel cut, you need to do a boost leak test and fix your leaks.

Boxx is correct. You have a 2g maf and my brother is making over 400whp and 30psi on his 16g. He is not using anything to trick the ecu. He is close to the limit but the 2g maf can handle a lot of air before telling the ecu to cut the fuel.

You must have a boost leak. The ecu see's the air and adjusts for it but the air leaks out before getting to the motor causing it run rich. The ecu fuel cuts because the turbo has to work harder to achieve its set boost and the maf gets over run. I could run 30psi on my 2g maf all day but once a boost leak came up I would hit fuel cut everytime. Even if I dropped boost to 10psi.

You mean your brother has a 2g mas in a 1g right? The OP has a 2g so he should hit fuel cut along with the rest of us.

like ive said. on this setup, im not hitting fuel cut @ all. im on 12psi. but yes ill to a boost leak test. thanks :)
