Boost controller location

For best response, the boost controller should be mounted as close to the wastegate actuator as possible. It can be mounted in the cab, but response will suffer as a result of the long hose from the controller to the turbo. Although I haven't used one (I have an electronic boost controller), there are in-cab manual boost controllers that have only the adjustment knob mounted in the cab (such as the Hallman mentioned above), but the boost controller is still mounted near the turbo to keep the hoses as short as possible.

That would mean the boost would have to travel through the vacuum tube all the way into the cabin of the car, get regulated by the controller, then all the way back out to the actuator. That's asking for boost spikes.

The in-cabin controllers are mostly cable-operated.

This was answered in your other thread...no need for two.
