Right now my boost controller is not working. Im just hittin like 27 pounds of boost. I have the turbo xs manual and i have it hooked to so the bronze part is teed into the bov line and the other part is going to the wastegate. I have switched them to see if that fixed it and still the same result. Also I have the evo 3 16g afc afpr set to 43 psi, stock fuel pump and 650 injector and when i get into boost im directly runnin like 9.0:1 no matter what my boost is i cant get a solid tune. I know a solid boost would help but i was just wondering if this is normal still be ing on the stock fuel pump. Im useing the ngk wideband to get my af readin.

If you are talking about an eclipse and not your srt-t you have in your sig, then here it is:

"just" 27 psi on a 16g?!?!?! I don't imagine that particulat turbo going that high in boost, especially if you are just running pump gas. Also you would be running lean on that high of boost and stock fuel pump. I am surprised the car isn't freaked up like that. What are you using to read your air fuel ratio?

I hit 26-27psi all day long on my EVO3B16G, but I have sufficient fuel too. What boost are you trying to achieve? I have mine set too 22psi, but occasionally it will creep to 25 or so. Try unhooking the boost controller, and just run the BOV teed line to the WG and see if it will hold boost constant, if not, you may have a wastegate issue.

Yea im talking about an eclispe im using my friedns username becuase i changed emails on my sn adn they never sent an email to get the account reactivated so now i cant post. My usuall username is spooln. And yes it does hit 27 pounds what im saying is the boost controller is doing nothing but let me run unlimited boost. Also should i be runnin that rich still it doesnt make sense im still on the stock fuel pump. And i posted befoer im useing the ngk wideband.

Sorry i never ran a 16 g on my car so i really don't know what boost it is. I know that you shouldn't be going over 23psi on pump gas though. So i hope this is being doen on race gas of some sort. No it does not make sense you are running that a/f on stock fuel pump. Is it changing as you go up in rpms or does it stay dead set on 9.0:1? Is the wideband working? Is it setup correctly? On the boosting problem, i would go with what 92 awd eclipse said.

Yea wideband is installed correctly we calibrated it and everything, gonna recalibrate it agian. Im trying to get a steady psi of 19 to tune off of, And the af does go up to like 9.7 9.9 but i cant get 2 high in the rpms or the boost will ride more.

My brothers boost would do the same thing. He had it set to about 15psi and would just keep creeping. My mechanic custom builds wastegates, and made him an adjustable one with a huge spring. He should sell these things because now it spools faster and the boost hits hard. It always hits the amount it should and drops about a psi do the huge 4" thick FMIC he has. I would either get a nice wastegate or go with an external wastegate, this will help you keep your boost. I run a ported evo16g, ported o2, and a full 3" exhuast. Im only running 10psi with the stock wastegate and I never creep.

Ok now im not as concered about the boost issue as to why my car is running so rich with the stock fuel pump in still anyone have any ideas to what the hell is going on

What injectors are you using? What maf are you using? What are your timing settings through the rpms where boost is present? Also I know this is an obvious question, but have you checked for boost leaks? My evo3 was hitting high boost with a pretty big boost leak, so I was running super rich. Just a thought

Im using 650s im gonna do a car overhual this weekend to check for leaks and everything. Im usind the stock 2g maf.

hmmm, well after you do the boost leak test, hopefully that will reveal something. Also, how is your ignition system, as far as plugs, wires, coil, battery everything. Maybe a bad spark, or inefficient spark is making it run rich.
