Bog At WOT

Ok this is kind of hard to explain but ill do my best. Especially when my car is cold(temperature gauge is not quite in the middle and the rest before that) it will have a major bog when i get on the gas, but when i take it off it speeds up when i hit a certain point. When the car gets fully warmed up and i do a second or third gear pull it will stutter for a sec and then start pulling hard, but sometimes it will bog and not go faster. And when its bogging i take the foot of the gas till its good and then slowly speed up and it pulls somewhat normal. So with my car having a boost leak, i was just wondering if that could cause the bog because of the car running rich because i thought the car would be thinking it had 14-15 psi reading it from the wastegate, but when it hits the TB it only has 5-10 . So i just wanted some feedback on what people think of this problem and if the boost leak could do that. And about the boost leak i know where it is but im just waiting for my sexy fmic to come in to get that all fixed

I realize you don't have anything to tune with yet, but it always seem to be when I bog, its because im too rich. Where is the boost leak at? Id definatly fix that as soon as possible because im sure thats where its coming from.

Most people here would've told you to go out and do a boost leak test. Since you already have, and since you know you have a leak, I think you've found a likely culprit to your problem. It's really too obvious to think there may be something else wrong at this point.

My car would bog too, its a turbo tho, but I replaced the plugs with some new ones and it went away immediatly. I was reading a misfire code from my check engine responce before I replaced. Hope this helps.

Yeah what devilsperm and VelocitàPaola said is most likely the problem. Deffinitely fix the boost leak and see if the problem goes away. Let us know how it works out.

I would also suggest getting something to tune and log with after fixing the boost leak then getting it tuned. Good luck.

yah the boost leak wil be fixed in about a week, and as for the tuning part, in summer im getting a maf-t and a safc-2 to tune with, so that should do that trick. So thanks alot for the help and i was wondering if i was right about the 14-15 psi at the wastegate and then only like 10 at the TB, because if thats the case it would be compensating the fuel for 14-15 psi of boost when really it only has 10 which causes it to be rich.(i also shoot flames at rev limiter )

Yeah, you are bogging because you are missing. You are missing because of the leak.

FIx the leak, change the plugs to an ngkxxxxx6 ot 7 and check your plugs.

I just had a nasty leak fixed and the car pulls so much harder than before with no bog till about 15psi (stock fuel).
