Ok so I sold my talon that I got as a project before I got it running. Seller claimed it had a blown turbo. What do I look for on the turbo to check and see if it is blown? What seals and such? Also, it had slight side to side shaftplay, is this a sign its blown or just another negative about the turbo? It's a t25.

I was going to say that you look for side to side shaft play but you already did and it has it. That's not a good sign depending on how much play there is. Have you considered upgrading to a 14b? You can get a used one in good shape for around $100 usually.
