On Christmas Eve I blew the stock T25 turbo on my 98 GSX. The car is stock other than a Dejon Intake, K&N Filter, Greddy BOV and NGK Plugs and Wires. I have been reading and researching through various posts and websites as to the best path for me to go, this is what I have in mind and would appreciate feedback from any of you that may have it. . .

1. Evo III Big 16G or 20G Turbo (with 2G install kit and FP Mainfold)
2. VR-Speed Short Route FMIC Kit (with J-Pipe for 16G or 20G)
3. Thermal Cat-Back Exhaust and RRE Downpipe
4. RC 750 Injectors
5. DSMLink

Is there anything else that I would need to run this setup? This is my first post and I'm just trying to make the best decision possible for around $2500.

Thanks again for the help!

you guys pretty much have all of the major parts covered. might i suggest a forced performance 18g turbo. it is a great turbo, it has a little more lag then a 18g but it pulls way harder. i netted 321 whp with it on stock internals at 30psi.

Just add in a 255 pump and an AFPR and you are good to go romping around. If you are buying them all together then that's good, if not, concentrate on the fuel mods as a priority after the turbo and ECMLink.

Thank you for the info up to this point, Forced Performance has a Evo III 16G, FP Race manifold, FP 255 in tank fuel pump and gaskets. for $649, is this the best bang for the buck or is a 20G a better buy? trying to spend $2500. . .

make sure exhaust is on list that will help with power. then 255, bigger injectors, fmic, ecm link or something to tune with, wideband. then turbo is just how much power u wana make a 20g will get you up to 400hp on pump gas while a 16g will sit more around low to mid 300's but spool faster

I vote Evo III 16G with a j-pipe and oil supply line (no $200 "install kit" needed), VRSF FMIC, an eBay 3" exhaust, 650's, and something to tune with. Your '98 *may* have a flashable ECU.

That's less than $1000 spent on some nice go-fast parts.

i agree the install kit is a waste when u could piece it together for way cheaper, e316g is def the way to go, im at full boost and it pulls all the way to the line, 255 pump is a must but rewire is not nescasary. get the proper gauges, and a 3 inch turbo back with no cat, u will be very happy with that setup and its perfect for street driving. also i have a walbro with install kit for cheap, pm me i can work u a deal, keep us posted on ## progress:thumb:
