My turbo has absolutely no shaft play. It's spins about 3 continues times and then rubs up against the housing. Blown? If so what's the cheapest way out of this. I'm on a 50 dollar budget, dont tell me to get a job etc, what can I really do or could I run the engine without turbo? will that mess with the tune etc?

Well 0 shaft play is a good thing. If its rubbing, i would venture to guess you bent your intermediate shaft.

Best bet buy a used turbo. Check the classifieds

sure you can run it without the turbo if you want to ruin the engine :sneaky: but with 50 dollars you are lucky to even get a full tank of gas now days. your best bet is to let the car sit until you do get money to fix it, remember man you have to pay to play :hellyeah:

I just pulled a 13b out of my car that I could sell you for a fair price. Had next to NO shaft play and was working great. I just upgraded to a 50trim, so I have no need for it anymore. PM me if your interested.

its weird that it rubs but has no shaft play. never heard anybody say this but assuming there is no shaft play your turbo float bearings might have worn out causing a "misalignment" and wobbling. so with that said, what you want is to get a turbo rebuild kit but its not 50 dollars.
