So my t25 is pretty much gone, you know what that means, time for upgrade. First question is big 16g or small 16g, pro's and con's. The other question is what are the supporing mods i am going to need for the 16g. So far i have greddy s bov, upper ic pipping, intake and all the quages you can name. any info would help

youll need at least a fuel pump rewire kit and injectors. Cause if you dont go bigger for inj's youll run out of your duty cycle for the stock inj.

it depends on how much boost you will be running.

youll be fine at 12-14psi on stock fuel setup with any 16g, small, big or evo.

but if you want to run 20psi like most do, you will need the average setup, consisting of at least a 190lph fuel pump, 550's, something to tune(safc+pocketlogger or DSMlink).

of course if you want only a better option over another POS t25, a 14b is right up your alley.

how about exhuast, is that a must? boost controller? i also have a 2g do i need a special turbo conversion kit, what does it consist of?

If you didn't know about this, then this should help you in understanding what is necessary to support the upgraded turbo you want. 2g Stage 1 Upgrade Path

exhaust is helpful but you dont NEED it for it to work. you could probibly hook up the wastgate actuator to the air tap that is already on the turbo i think it opens around 13psi not sure though. you will need the LICP, which consists of a j pipe and another pipe that goes to the intercooler (from the J pipe) just browse through the sponsors sites and look for 16G install kit.

I'm pretty sure that a 16g Setup will require an install kit to work. I'd go with a T28 Setup or a T28 Killer. If you're gonna up the boost, make sure you have the right amount of fuel to support it. 16g isn't a bad option, will spool up quickly and is a good turbo for a street application. Both turbos are good choices, but the important issue will be getting fuel for more boost. Just keep the boost down if you decide to upgrade or crank it up w/supporting fuel mods.

would you say that a t28 killer would put out more power then a big 16g same with t28 versus small 16g?

Well, since you say your turbo is dead, I think mine is on the way too.. Is a sign of a dead/dying turbo puking oil? I pulled off my intake pipe, and there was oil pouring (not really pouring but a couple little puddles on the garage floor :barf: ) out of the compressor side. There is quite a bit of shaft play. I (was) running 15psi occasionally with a crushed 1g bov, I plan on going higher with boost whenever I can get cash. I did accidently run 20psi for about a split second when my WG line popped off.

well i don't have oil spilling out but my turbo makes a supercharges sound, like a loud whistle of sort. but your turbo sounds pretty shot as well.

You say it makes sorta' like a howling noise? Kinda like in a wind storm when you leave a small window cracked open, kinda' like a medium pitched sound? My BOV does flutter when I let off at low(er) boost levels, or low vacuum, would that have anything to do with what happened? Its a crushed 1g and I run 15psi max VERY OCCASIONALLY, i can count the number of seconds i've run 15psi, and its not over 60 sec. Would the BOV flutter be what killed my turbo?
