I blew my engine and now have the oppertunity to get a new engine. i found a 2.3 stroker for $3500 but im not too sure whether or not to go with the 2.3 with an evo 3 16g turbo or just rebuild my motor and put my evo 3 16g turbo in it. Im not too positive how much money i would be putting in my original motor if i did a complete rebuild. If anybody has any suggestions i would appreciate your thoughts on the situation. Thanks

$3500?????... SCREW THAT!!! I bought mine and its a fully built stroker for 2k with 0 miles still in the plastic from the shop that assembled it. Please for the love of god do not pay that much for it!!! You could build a 2.0 that could hold up to 800whp with $3500.

idk i was just checkin out some sites and most 2.3s i found were around 3-3500 i thought that was pricy too. The motor i looked was a jayracing crate motor. Honestly, money isnt really an option in my case ### ive got about 5000 that im gonna put into it and the thing that kinda sucks is that im in the military so i gotta get my car running fast before i get stationed in a couple months. I basically have to replace the entire lower end.

Or buy some nice H or I(I beams being better) beams,Pistons, race bearings, arp rod+main bolts and drop it off at a local machine/engine shop and they will throw the shortblock together for a good price and you will have a fully built bottom end thats good for high whp!

thats most likely the route ill be going. while i was looking around online i saw that there were 4g64s and i was wondering if that could be swapped into my gsx.
