Black smoke and car stutters...Need Help!

I just got done installing a new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel. I also had my tranny rebuilt by shepherd. When taking my car for a test drive for the first time (after sitting for 2 months), it ran fine for awhile. I stopped at a light and as i was pulling away the car bucked and a huge black cloud of smoke came out from the exhaust and the car didnt want to drive. The turbo was spoolin and the car was bucking and not really moving. So i pulled over and so did my friend behind me, i restarted my car after a minute and pulled away and more black smoke came out, but then no more. The car was driving weird, turbo was spoolin but the car was bucking and not wanting to move. The clutch still fully engages and the tranny is still working fine. Bad turbo? Any ideas? Any response is welcome. Sorry for the long post.

Have you checked all your intake piping? It almost sounds like you popped one of the IC pipes off.

Yep that seems like the obvious answer. Check the pipe connections or maybe even the MAS plug wasn't connected!

Black smoke indicates that you are running rich... Which either means you aren't getting all/enough air (IC pipe) or too much fuel...

Thanks guys, all is well. I checked the intercooler pipes this morning, blew the upper one right off. Put it back on and now she's running like a champ
